This record is paginated 51-132, a continuation of the page numbering of HY/1/9. Maxwell 1879, pxliv states that this record is the third of four that were intended to form a book and be published (HY/1/7/1, HY/9, HY/10 and HY/8).
The record is enclosed in a covering note written by William Snow Harris: "No 10 [crossed out and replaced with "10" in red pen] must evidently continuation [sic] of Pages at No 9 Part 2 of Experiments relative to the Mathematical Theory of Electricity These Pages [illegible] apparently the de[illegible] information within Page 63 and referred to in No 2 [crossed out in pencil and replaced with "the next Paper No 11"].
