Description

Letter from J.P. to W.P.G. stating that he has met Messrs F.B. & C. who complained that Mr Bruff's money was lying idle whilst he had to pay 4% interest, and they have since taken out a summons before the Chief Clerk upon which an order has been made for payment of the balance of the purchase money & interest into Court on or before 10 inst.. He gives the figures. Mr Gelson refuses to leave the matter in J.P.'s hands. Mr Gelson has communicated with the executors concerning his travelling expenses shortly after his appointment. J.P. has since written to Mr Fitter and encloses copies of the letter and reply [see below]. J.P. thinks it would be right that the travelling expenses should be allowed besides the commission, the Estate having the advantage of the introduction of the purchaser without any separate remuneration therefore.
