The company was London-based with its main offices being at the Fleet Works, 57 Clerkenwell Road, London EC1. During the 1920s it founded overseas manufacturing interests in Ireland (Clarnico-Murray Ltd, a joint venture) and Australia. In 1936, it was taken over by C. and E. Morton Ltd which was later acquired by Clarnico (Clarke, Nicholls and Coombs), who were ultimately taken over by Rowntree.
Its main lines of production were in fudge, caramel and mints (including what were known as 'Murray Mints')
