Letter of Solomon Morales, Provincial Grand Secretary, Kingston, Jamaica thanking Robert Leslie, Grand Secretary for a circular addressed to Francis Owen, Past Provincial Grand Master. The Provincial Grand Lodge will meet with all the lodges in Jamaica in June and asks Leslie to send details of any changes to Masonic laws direct to the Provincial Grand Lodge for dissemination among Lodges on the Island. Notes that the former Provincial Grand Secretary, J Da Costa, sent names of officers of the provincial grand lodge and that all future correspondence should be sent to the writer, who has resumed the role of Provincial Grand Secretary. The dispute with Royal Lodge, No. 283 [SN 1265] and Friendly Lodge, No. 342 [SN 1508], Jamaica has been resolved amicably. Includes draft copy letter of Robert Leslie, Grand Secretary to J Da Costa and Solomon Morales, Provincial Grand Lodge of Jamaica noting the delay in providing the renewal warrant until harmony was restored among freemasons in Jamaica and explaining a rule change concerning members eligible to sit and vote at meetings of Grand Lodge in London [Item AR/1303/17a]. Additional draft copy letter of Robert Leslie, Grand Secretary to the Provincial Grand Lodge, Jamaica expressing pleasure at the restoration of concord and harmony among freemasons on the Island, changes to rules by Grand Lodge and sends certificates for registered members of Union Lodge, No. 257 [SN 1166], Friendly Lodge, No. 342 [SN 1508], Civille (Seville) Lodge, provincial lodge No. 10 [SN 1674] and United Civilians Lodge, provincial lodges Nos. 17 and 19, Port Royal, Jamaica [Item AR/1303/17b].

Provincial Grand Lodge, No. 1 was granted a warrant by the Antients' Grand Lodge on 1 June 1796 to meet as No. 301 at the Masons' Hall, Port Royal Street, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. The Lodge was erased at the time of the union between the Antients' and Moderns' Grand Lodges to form the United Grand Lodge of England in 1813.
