From: William Sellyng, I, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, and the convent of the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory To: Thomas Inglot, of Appledore parish, Kent Lands in 'the Becard'. Lying with 'the Kete' to south, Fairfield wall to east, the archbishop of Canterbury's land to north, and the lands of Robertsbridge Abbey to west. For a term of 1 year, for a payment of 12d per acre, measured with a rood of 16½ft, and scot payments for sea defences. Endorsed with Fairfield in 17th cent hand.
