Description

Memorandum between Mr McLean, Port Sunlight and Mr L.V. Fildes, Lever House discussing William Frederick Heller, a former employee of H.C.B. for seven years, who was discharged in 1924 following a re-organisation of staff. Mr Heller has requested that his Preferential Certificate be exchanged for cash. Mr McLean cites the previous case of Mr Goodwin of Messrs. Edward Cook & Co. Ltd as example of an offer that could be make to Mr Heller. Mr Fildes confirms that the case can be dealt with in a similar way to Mr Goodwin's case. 14 July 1927 and 18 July 1927 [For related correspondence, see catalogue entries GB1752.LBC/136/192 and GB1752.LBC/136/196]
