Lease for 14 Years

PARTIES: 1a. Elizabeth Hinde now or late of Priors Hardwick, Warks, widow and relict of Samuel Hinde late of Priors Hardwick, gent.

b. Rev. Henry Hinde of Bedford clerk

c. Rev. Thomas Williams of Napton upon the Hill, Warks clerk

d. George King of Prescott Manor House, grazier

1b, c. and d. are trustees and guardians appointed by Samuel Hinde for his son William Pickering Hinde, minor

2. Robert Chapman of Worinleighton, Warks, grazier, trustee and guardian

SUBJECT OF TRANSACTION: In consideration of the rents and covenants hereinafter expressed, 1. demises to 2. for 14 Messuage and appurts in Priors Hardwick, Home Close, Home Ground (80a.), Coleman's Close lately united with Home Close. All premises were settled on 1a. as marriage portion for life, then on their heirs and were now lately held by Samuel Hinde then by 2.

Trees, hedges, produce etc. on the demised property reserved to 1. together with right of entry.

2. to pay annual rent of £100 to 1a. and £100 to 1b, c and d, at Michaelmas and Feast of the Annunciation

2. to pay further annual rent of £5 to 1a. for life then to 1b, c, and d. for every acre of enclosed land which 2. shall convert to tillage If default is made in any payment for more than 21 days, or if 2. leases property without the licence of 1a, during her life, and after her decease of 1b, c, and d., then lease to be void.

2. covenants to make payments, keep property in repair etc.

CONSIDERATION: £200 p.a. and £5 p.a. per acre
