1. William Hutchings of [ ], William Rowell of Newton Bushel, saddler and Samuel Cann of Moretonhampstead innkeeper, executors and trustees of the will of Robert Hutchings deceased

2. the said William Hutchings, Thomas Gayton of Barnstaple, saddler and Jane his wife, formerly Jane Hutchings, and the said William Rowell and Mary Ann his wife, residuary legatees under the will of Robert Hutchings

3. Gilbert Hutchings of Moretonhampstead

Premises: In 1846 Gilbert and Robert Hutchings purchased from Abram Norrish of Crediton and Susanna his wife the site of two dwellinghouses known as Sir John Daveys and Whiteways tenements which had been destroyed by fire, lying between Fore Street, formerly Footman Street, and Back Lane and extending in a straight line from the north east corner of the chapel there to the north east corner of a house then occupied by Miss German, containing in length towards Fore Street eighty five feet. Gilbert and Robert divided the property in half and each built two dwellinghouses on his half part, although a partition deed was never drawn up. Robert Hutchings died leaving his property in trust for sale, the residue to be shared between his three children, William, Jane and Mary Ann. 1. now sell the two dwellinghouses to 2. and 3. is a party to the conveyance to confirm the earlier partition
