Single-acting engine, with 40 inch cylinder, 8 foot stroke, chain connection.
Reverse general view of the engine; ground plan, section and outside view of the engine house (the section is marked as a reverse copy); reverse plan and sections of the boiler; condenser - 2 sheets of drawings; cylinder, gudgeon, plans and sections of nozzles, eduction pipe; working gear - side view and view from the lever wall (partially coloured reverse drawings), plan of the lower working gear (reverse drawing), plan and side view of the top working gear.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 25. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 268, 286.
For Samuel Walker of Masbrough and company of Masbrough. Holmes Iron Works, near Rotherham. The engine was later converted into a blowing engine, and Henry Hazleton listed in both sections of the Catalogue of Old Engines.
