Theological treatises by Juan Maldonado (Joannes Maldonatus) (1533-83), S.J., professor of theology at Paris, headed 'Annotationes D. Ioan. Maldonati Societis Jesu professoris theologi in quatuor sententiarum', 16th cent. (Latin).
Versions of the treatises on baptism, confirmation, the eucharist, penitence, extreme unction, and marriage were published in J. Maldonati Andalusii, S.J. theologi, disputationum ac controversiarum decisarum et circa septem Ecclesiae sacramenta inter catholicos praesertim et calvinistas tum alios hoc tempore agitari solitarum tomi duo, Lyons, 1614, and on ceremonies in F.A. Zaccaria, Bibliotheca ritualis, 1781, II (2).
The manuscript was in Lambeth Palace Library in the early 17th cent.
