Folios 722-723. Letter from Charles Wright, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, informing the Board that the guardians have elected Miss Thirza Mary Miles as mistress of the workhouse infant school in place of Miss Murrell [Mary Ann Murrell] resigned, and enclosing the appointment form.
The form shows Thirza Mary Miles had been a teacher in a Sunday school at Beeston. The salary to be £20 per annum. The post became vacant after the resignation of Miss Murrell who was appointed assistant matron.
Annotated: 'Sanction and request report at end of six months.' 25 February 1870.
