Deeds of title predominate, but the volume includes a fine collection of correspondence of the Jaques family who were one of the earliest printers in Chichester, and later expanded considerably in London; and the diary of an English Nun under German occupation in the First World War. The documents described range in date from a Court Roll of the Manor of Goring in 1361 (Add Mss 18132), to the Reports of the Downsbrook Partially Hearing Unit at Worthing in the 1970s (Add Mss 17744)
