The ecclesiastical parish was officially combined with the parish of East Marden in 1933, though the two parishes appear to have been held together since 1875. From 1942, both parishes have been held by the incumbent of Compton with Up Marden. Records for North Marden will therefore be found among those of Compton, Up Marden and East Marden.
The civil parishes of North and East Marden were united in 1933 to form the parish of Marden
