Copy of a letter sent to Dorman Long from Winston Churchill in the early days of World War 2. The letter was written with the aim of reminding and encouraging the work-force that the work they were undertaking, on behalf of the government, was of vital importance and would be 'decisive' in the defeat of Hitler. Along with the letter is a notice made from the letter intended for the notice-boards at the works and mines belonging to the company and several internal memos giving instructions to make these notices.
