The Rigg family had shops in Ulverston, Millom and Walney, as well as a shop on Cavendish Street and one on Dalton Road. The Dalton Road shop was the last to survive, as the others were sold in the 1950's and 1960's. This shop was sold in 1983, and though the original premises were pulled down for modern development, the purchaser continues to trade under the name "Riggs" across the road.
