Title
Letter from the Department of Defence Production. Government Aircraft Factories Australia: Jindivik Mk 2. - note on the method of operating the Viper Mk.100 and its influence on engine life
Date
1955
Description

Conclusion: 8 (a) The useful life of the Viper Mk.100 is causing concern because with present techniques some operation is inevitable in an engine speed range (6500-8500 rpm) which has recently been declared critical in the effect on compressor life. (e) The most effective method of overcoming the whole problem is by modifying the engine to long-life standard
