Immediate source of acquisition

The items in section Par/14/1, 3-9, 11, 12, 14-16, 21 and 58, together with 30/23 were deposited by the incumbent, December 1986 and October 1990.

Par/14/30/1-9 were deposited by Horsham R.D.C., January 1964.

The items in section Par/14/38, 49, 51 and 53, together with 30/10-22 were deposited by the clerk to the parish council, November 1971 and September 2002.

Administrative / biographical background

Lower Beeding was separated from the old parish of Beeding in 1838. Its church, Holy Trinity, was erected in 1840 from which date the registers begin
