Administrative / biographical background

The Lodge of Independence was named and established in 1779 and met at the Swan, Ratcliff Highway, London. In 1790 the lodge met at the Vine Tavern, Broad Street, Ratcliff, London and the meetings remained there until the lodge was erased in 1797.
