TURC Management Committee Minutes & Related Papers

There is very little formal numbering of papers within this file, which includes related records such as agenda and supporting reports. The main referencing system involves papers being marked up with the date of the meeting that they are to be considered. In addition, some papers are marked as being tabled at particular meetings, sometimes as formal agenda items, sometimes appearing under Any Other Business.

Papers within this file are in general ascending but not strict chronological order (The earliest records are generally at the rear of the file, rising to the latest at the front). This general chronological order partly reflects the nature of the records, which are an accumulation of papers considered at, or in support of business meetings. Individual papers are related to specific meeting agendas, and are assembled in the order dictated by the agenda, which may not be in strict date order.

There are some partial duplicates of items included elsewhere, but they provide a different context for this file, and are therefore retained.
Minutes of Birmingham Trades Union Council are included where there are specific references to TURC, but they do not form a complete set of BTUC minutes.
