Description (What the record is about)

Until 1823 the parties making the affidavit were required to enter into a bond as a surety for the correctness of the allegation, the substance of which is repeated in the bond, with the addition of the occupation of the parties. The act of 1823, 4 Geo.IV, c.76, section 15, made bonds no longer necessary. The bonds were filed in half-yearly bundles apart from the years 1713-18 and 1734-6 when they were bound in volumes
