Lease for 31 years at £120 rent: John, Duke of Newcastle to Mathew Webster of Newbold par Chesterfield, husbandman :-- Messuage and farm called Lees Hall in Barley Lees; close called the Milfield in Barley; water corn mill called Barley Mill and the Milnclose; all tithe corn on the premises; all small tithes in the manor of Barley; and cottage at the end of the Church Lane in Chesterfield--: M.W. to deliver a ton of boon coal yearly to the Duke (the Duke paying for it at the pit) and to maintain two hounds of the Duke. Witn. Thomas Farr, Will, Wenman, John Dale.
