Three albums of photographs, plus part of Album A.53, containing in toto 410 prints, covering Stein's expedition in southern Balochistan from December 1927 to April 1928. The tour is described in detail in his An Archaeological Tour of Gedrosia (Memoirs of the Archaeological Survey of India No. 43, Calcutta, 1931). This also contains a good map of the journey, with archaeological sites marked. Where prints from the albums have been reproduced in the published account, this is noted in the catalogue. Prints 394-403 are either briefly captioned in pencil or uncaptioned. (Print 402 is loose but with typed caption slip and from its date (4 April) should have been inserted earlier in the sequence).
