'A Plan of His Majesty's Dock Yard at Portsmouth, showing in red the Wharfs and Buildings proposed'. Plan shows coastline, jetties, land use, buildings, remarks (including reference to land purchased in 1658, 1663 and 1677 and boundary of the yard in 1710) and explanatory key. Colour manuscript. Watermark: 'J Whatman'. North point with compass indicator (orientation to east). Scale: 5.1 inches to 400 feet. Carries Becher's 'M' classification mark. Received by the Hydrographic Office prior to 1826, according to Lieutenant Alexander Becher
