The following material, which has been deposited by H. J. Arnold, who was a pioneer of non-manual staff organisation in the gas industry, relates to the Gas Staff Association and its origins and to staff association organisation in the Gas Light & Coke Co. It includes some early minutes of the GSA's successor, the British Gas Staff Association, and complements the BGSA material deposited by NALGO (MSS.20).
