Donor's father Joseph Blackshaw worked as the cinema projectionist at the Savoy in Darwen. His father (also Joseph) had a butchers shop in Darwen. Joseph Blackshaw married Mary Ellenor Woolley in 1927. She came from Albrighton in Shropshire and had been in service at Shackley Hall before her marriage. She also worked at the Savoy Cinema, as a cashier
