- applicants for post of County Ambulance and Transport Officer;

- communications from Senior Regional Officer regarding: provision of public shelters in Harrowden Road, Bedford; basement shelter at Laxton Bros, High Street, Bedford; persons eligible for free shelter; leave for Civil Defence volunteers; survey of Air Raid Precautions personnel in most vulnerable areas; Wardens' Posts at Hillside, Renhold, 39 Littledale Street, Kempston, St.Helena, Elstow, Wood End House, Pertenhall, Leighton Buzzard Market Square and Mogerhanger Parish Hall;

- communications from Ministry of Health regarding: provision of Medical Aid Posts in public air raid shelters;

purchase of car for use as Bedford Borough First Aid Party car; visits to evacuated relatives; allocation of syringes from USA to Bute Hospital, Luton and St.Peter's Hospital, Bedford; Friends' Ambulance Unit; billeting by Local Authorities; occupation of condemned houses;

- Government Evacuation Scheme - facilities in Northern Ireland and Eire;
