No volumes of this nature survive among the Yarmouth archives from before 1490, earlier miscellaneous enrolment books having been lost, among them the 'golden book' (written in French), which was extant in 1629 and the Yarmouth Domesday, described in 1613 as containing 54 leaves, which had disappeared by 1772.
