Description

1. Thomas Owen of Newport gentleman and Samuel Howell of Lilleshall farmer (assignee of the effects of Charles Jenks of Newport grocer appointed under a commission of bankrupt).

2. Thomas Morris the elder of Newport gentleman (trustee for Jenks).

3. Thomas Morris the younger of Newport gentleman.

4. William Higgins of Newport draper and mercer, and John Adams of Newport gentleman (trustee for Higgins).

5. William Masefield of Newport draper and mercer.

Consideration: £207.10.0 and £112.10.0. to trustees.

Lease and release to Higgins, as best bidder at a public auctionheld 9 January, of a messuage in the Middle Row, another messuage in the Middle Row, Newport, (as conveyed to Charles Jenks and trustees 1 and 2 June 1791 - 1. The Rev. Richard Wilding clerk and Rober Old sugar refiner 2. Henry Wilding linen draper and Rebecca his wife. 3. Charles Jenks and Thomas Morris the elder; and as mortgaged 24 June 1791).

Jenks is now indebted in £100 to Mary Owen of Newport widow and administratrix of goods of William Owen late of Brockton in the parish of Longford gentleman deceased; and a commission in bankruptcy was issued against him 15 October last, following which the Commissioners appointed conveyed his property to trustees for the creditors by bargain and sale enrolled of 24 November last Egerton Leeke, James Marshale, and John Pritchard TO Thomas Owen and Samuel Morris.
