Records of Matlock District of Wirksworth Petty Sessional Division and of Matlock Petty Sessional Division, from 1906.
Courts were held regularly in Matlock for the Matlock District of the Wirksworth Petty Sessional Division from the late nineteenth century. About 1930 the District became a Petty Sessional Division in its own right. In 1974 on the reorganisation of local government, the Division became part of the West Derbyshire Magistrates' Court and in 1978 was absorbed into West Derbyshire Petty Sessional Division (see D3510.)
These records were deposited in the Record Office in Dec 1963. Jul 1978, Feb 1900 and Jul 1991 under Section 4(1) of the 1958 Public Records Act
