Comprises the following:. Volume III. 'Report on the Geodetic Survey of Part of Southern Rhodesia. Executed by Mr. Alexander Simms.' 1 volume of 146 pages. Includes pull-out folio 'Triangulation Plan Geodetic Survey Rhodesia', scale 1:1,000,000 and 6 pages of additional typed coordinates (2 of which are glued down). Dated 1905. (121/9; H2 A1; DS 300 A) [Not otherwise held at BL.]. Volume VI. 3 copies. 'Report on the Measurement of the Arc of the Thirtieth Meridian in North-Eastern Rhodesia. Executed by Dr. T. Rubin. Dated 1933. 1 volume of 123 pages. Includes pull-out folio Geographical Section, General Staff, No. 3940 'Arc of 30th Meridian N[orth].E[ast]. Rhodesia', scale 1:1,500,000 dated 1933. One copy contains an inserted review, covering letter and editors' compliment replies (total 6 pages and 2 folios); a second copy contains typed notes on Southern Rhodesian coordinate and height datums dated 1948 (2 pages). (H-2-A-2; G1 A11; DS 2; DS 18; DS 300 A; DS 300 C) [Also held at C.S.D. 213.]. Proofs of Part of Geodetic Study of South Africa Volume VI. 12 folios. Dated 1933. Printed, with manuscript additions in coloured ink; 68 x 22cm. Also 1 original envelope retained.
