Accidentally killed whilst on duty. Dummy firing being practised under cover due to rain. A live round had been mixed in with dummies - 2/Lt Ferguson was passing about 50 yards in front - hit and killed by single bullet. Major JC Aldous severely censured by GOC 42 Div for failure to enforce discipline and 2/Lt JC Pidduck and 2/Lt CE Wiglesworth of 127 Coy both censured by GOC
