Description (What the record is about)
-
Letter from J.P. to W.P.G. covering a letter received from Mr Fitter [see below]. There seems to have been a little misapprehension. The purchaser's proposal was that he should be saved of any possible loss, not to exceed £300. Therefore he would bear any loss over that sum. However, W.P.G., by his letter of 2nd inst., understands the proposal to be that he should bear any loss up to £300, and the Vendors any beyond that. However, the definite proposal now made is that any loss be shared equally. The inconvenience referred to by Mr Fitter might prove to be a real one, but it might be overcome by fixing a time limit with the purchasers after which the risk on all the Bills should be wholly his.
