Folios 486-487. Letter from Charles Wright, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to the Local Government Board, regarding Walter Palmer age 15, a pauper child leaving the Workhouse to go into service. The guardians request the Board to sanction the sum of £2 10s to provide him with a suitable set of clothes.
'Proposal of service for a pauper child maintained in the Union Workhouse' form. The pauper is Walter Palmer age 15 and he last lived ay Worhting. He has lived in the workhouse for 12 years. It is proposed that he works for Josiah Baker, Farmer, Swanton Morley.
