Mrs Redman was unable to accept that the elbow injury was unconnected to the strokes and wrote several letters to Mr Kitts, to one of which he replied: 'it is not true that everything is cut and dried before hand [...] if I take this week and the cases which I have represented, out of ten cases which I have taken seven of the results are in favour of the workmen'. The Medical Appeal Tribunal found: 'Having considered the evidence and seen the claimant, we do not connect the right hemi-plegia with the relevant accident'.
