Jane Blamey, jun.; acquitted of stealing 2 yards of bone-lace, value 6d., from William Harris.

Application by Bodmin for scire facias against Thomas Pendray of Helland, yeoman, putative father of the male bastard of Ann Rowe of Bodmin, single woman, and his pledges, John Clemes and Joseph Pendray, both of Helland, labourers, for failing to abide by bastardy order made at Midsummer sessions: application granted.

William Masterman and William Pennington, esqs, and Benjamin Forster, clerk, three of the justices nominated at last sessions to inspect the House of Correction, reported that they had found it complete in every respect, the dimensions of the wards and courts being as follows:
Men's bridewell:
open courtyard, 62 ft x 48 ft;
covered arcade, 42 ft x 14 ft;
16 sleeping cells, 8 ft high, 8 ft x 4 ft 6 in.
Woman's bridewell:
open courtyard, 62 ft x 20 ft;
arcade, 42 ft x 14 ft;
7 sleeping cells, 8 ft 7 in. high, 8 ft. x 5 ft. 10 in.
Workshop and yard:
yard for men, 44 ft x 25 ft;
covered shop for men, 36 ft x 13 ft;
workshop for women, 36 ft x 11 ft;
Chapel ground floor for criminals, and gallery over for debtors, 27 ft x 19 ft 6 in.
two rooms for infirmary, 14 ft 7 in. x 10 ft 7 in., and 14 ft 7 in. x 8 ft.
