Written from 40 Rue Courtris, Liege, Belgium. Acknowledges with gratitude the £20 her friend has just sent her for travelling expenses. She has been pressed into addressing the meeting in Brussels; had a most interesting visit to Bern where she found the authorities such a contrast to the Genevans. She will try to give a full account in the next 'Dawn' [appeared in the 'Dawn' of Apr 1891]

No year but belongs to 1891 and her first visit abroad after her husband's death.
This was the address of the de Laveleyes with whom JB was staying in order to talk over arrangements for the Federation meeting in Brussels in Oct. See letter of 18 Feb. This was the end of her 1st continental trip after the death of her husband which started the end of Oct 1890 and ended with her return to England Feb 1891.
