Title
LETTERS OF ARTHUR PERCIVAL MARSH, 2ND LIEUTENANT, 5TH LEICESTERSHIRE REGIMENT, TO HIS FIANCÉE, MISS ADINE WALLER
Date
17 FEBRUARY - 6 JULY 1915
Description

Lt. Marsh served with the 5th Leicestershire Regiment, Lincoln and Leicester Brigade, North Midland Division, B.E.F., until wounded near Ypres. The correspondence is concluded in hospital near Le Touquet. His letters reveal much about life on the Western Front, in and behind the front line, as well as a considerable amount about Marsh himself. Marsh's desire not to worry his fiancée should be borne in mind throughout. The letters can be read alongside the regimental war diary [22D63/137 & 139] with great advantage.
