The design of the turbo-rocket engine presented in this report has been based on suggestions contained with NGTE memorandum M.266. Some notes on turbo-rockets and associated engines by AR Howell. In this memorandum the turbo-rocket engine is defined as 'a ducted fan engine plus reheat chamber, with the ducted fan or compressor driven from a rocket turbine.'
