Description

Between EDMUND BOLSWORTH, citizen and haberdasher of London, of the one part, and Dame ELIZABETH MORGAN, widow and relict of Sir Anthony Morgan late of Heford, co. Northants, knt., of the other part

Reciting a deed of even date whereby the said Dame Elizabeth - for £500 - granted to the said Edmund Bolsworth an Annuity of £300 payable out of the several manors of Heyford, Over Heyford, Nether Heyford and Clasthorpe als Calythorpe, co. Northants., and woods, underwoods and ground in Farthingstone, co. Northants called Dodford Heath and Dodford Netherwood And a tenement and close adjoining lying near the Gate of the Grange of St. Andrew in the Town of Northampton called the Long Range, all which were therefore granted to Francis Bagshawe and other persons all since deceased, for 99 years upon payment of £300 yearly to the said Dame Elizabeth Morgan if she should so long live

And reciting a Lease and Release of 18 and 19 April, 24 Chas. II whereby the said Dame Elizabeth Morgan conveyed to the said Edmund Bolsworth - for £1600 - 3/7th parts of the manors of Mersham and Fodder Marsham, Fodder Marsh and Pett, co. Sussex

And the site, capital messuage and demesnes in Priesthawes

And other the messuages, lands &c. in Farley, Pett, Iclesham, Gesling and Westham late the possessions of James Thetcher late of Preisthawes, esq. decd., which said conveyance was declared to be for the securing and paying the said annuity of £300 for 7 years

And reciting a further loan by the said Edmund Bolsworth of £500 over and above the aforesaid sum of £500

It was witnessed that the said Edmund Bolsworth agreed that on payment of the said annuity for 3 years and the sum of £525 he would assign his estate and interest in the said annuity and also in the said manor and lands as the said Dame Elizabeth should direct free from incumbrances
