Thomas Pierse, esq., surviving assignee of estate of John Wastell and Matthew Wastell of London, merchants and co-partners, bankrupts
Shows that a commission of bankruptcy against JW and MW empowering commissioners to execute 28 Mar 1720
that Acting Commissioner found JW and MW bankrupt. Creditors under the commission chose John Turley and Jasper Waters to be assignees of JW and MW's estate
that order on petition of creditors to Lord Chancellor discharged assignees
ordering a new choice 2 Oct 1720
and TP and George Prickett (deceased) were chosen 21 Nov 1720
Estate assigned to TP and GP in trust for creditors 23 Oct 1721
that JW and MW were at the time of their bankruptcy seised of estates in Yorkshire
that Commission was renewed twice (a) 11 Mar 1728/9
(b) 8 Mar 1739/40
that by decree of the Master of the Rolls in Thomas Atkinson & other creditors of JW and MW and TP v. 5 infant daughters of JW and 2 infant sons of MW (JW and MW both dead) on a bill for sale of their bankrupt estates 23 Jul 1745
the purchasers of these bankrupt estates require for security of title that the Commission of Bankrupt, the proof of the petitioning creditors debt before the Commissioners, the proof of the trading and act of bankruptcy, the commissioners' declaration of bankruptcy, the order for a second choice, and the appointment of a second choice of assignees should be entered on Record
Prayer that recited documents be entered on Record under Act of Parliament to prevent frauds by bankrupts, 5 Geo II
