William Wither Beach was the only surviving son of William Beach of Netheravon and his wife Ann [nee Wither]. He was a promising poet and classicist, writing sermons and poems and publishing 'Abradates and Panthea', a poem by Xenophon which William translated from the Greek, but he apparently became insane and his younger sister Henrietta Maria and her husband Michael Hicks [later Hicks Beach] inherited Netheravon on the death of their father in 1790. William Wither Beach died in 1829
