Mrs Crook is a descendant of Thomas Gregory of Toddington (1742-1816) a local celebrity who was Parish clerk, schoolmaster and sexton for 51 years and subject of an engraving in 1814 showing him with his tools in the graveyard (See Ref: X 254/88/324).
