Description (What the record is about)
-
Photocopy from an unkown magazine. Article by Alan Shipton. These days few people think of the rather staid and rather ponderous Armstrong Siddeley as a competition car. A few Sapphires ran in post-war Monte carlo rallies, but the company's image was not generally a sporting one - the efforts of Tommy Sopworth at tuning a 346 engine in his Sphinx project being largely ignored by the Coventry management.
