This committee was established by the Council on 12 Jan. 1836 to be responsible for the repair of the rows, streets and roads, and the first meeting was held on 15 Jan. 1836. In 1846 the functions of this committee were taken over by the Improvement Committee established under the Chester Improvement Act of 1845
