Cloth-bound photograph album, with decorative design of Chinese characters, measuring 272x190mm, and containing 106 small prints mounted in corner hinges and captioned in white ink in a neat hand. The album offers a graphic and detailed visual record of events in Shanghai between August and November 1937. The photographer of this material has been identified from an almost identical collection published on the worldwide web (http://www.japan-guide.com/a/shanghai/index.html).
