J. Cornell (Kendal) to Richd. How I (London) Has received How's letter at Warrington. after which he set out for Kendal; is lodging in public houses, Mr. Wilson being detained at Lancaster. [He appears to have been sent to learn business under Mr. Wilson, a woolstapler in Highgate, Kendal.]
In a letter to his mother, on dorse, he requests pocket money of 2s.6d,, or 3s. per week.
