Gallantry Notes: Whilst in action near Achiet-le-Grand on 25/3/1918, although badly wounded in the shoulder this NCK refused to leave the driver's seat and continued to carry on in action until the tank was disabled by a direct hit. He also remedied two stoppages under heavy fire. It was entirely due to this NCOs courage and devotion to duty that the tank was able to continue into action and thus delay the advance of the enemy.;
