Administrative / biographical background

Lodge of Prince George was named and established as No. 550 under the Moderns' Grand Lodge in 1796, meeting at the White Lion Inn, Main Street, Haworth, Yorkshire. In 1802 the lodge relocated to the King's Arms, Main Street, Haworth but in 1809 the lodge returned to the White Lion Inn. In c.1812 the Lodge sold its warrant and furniture and united with Lodge of the Three Graces, No. 506A [SN 1470], that met at the Black Bull Inn, Main Street, Haworth. Lodge of the Three Graces was erased in 1822.
