Answers to a questionnaire Sent by Bishop Bell to all clergy in the diocese 30 Oct. 1957 relating to the numbers of sons of the clergy seeking ordination and the reasons influencing the sons of laymen. There is also correspondence on this subject between Bishop Bell and Arnold Cecil Powell (prebendary of Highleigh, 1947-1963), with the latter's tabulated summary of the returns and a list of diocesan clergy used as an index to the printed forms, drawing attention to specially detailed replies.
