I enclose copies of some curves by IC Turbines with which I played about in 1938. One of them which you have not seen before, that connecting polytropic and adiabatic efficiencies is useful if after doing tests on comparatively low ratios it is decided to go to much higher pressure ratios.I expect Wing Commander Whittle has been through all this kind of stuff years and years before I touched it but but the permutations and combinations of the IC Turbine layout are almost innumerable. He also produced curves in 1935-36 on heat transfer in gas turbines and applied to the Patent Office
